Seeing others move forward with their own debt can help you to be motivated to do more as well. I know that it did for me, unfortunately a person who’s blog I was reading appears to have dropped off. Sad really so I’ve been searching for more debt payoff journeys here. The problem with that is that you can’t just follow someone’s journey and feel a kinship. It is something about the person’s writing, their goals and the follow through of their plan that makes a person want to listen.
Fortunately I only have a few more payments to go and I will just have to motivate myself to the finish line π. I try and use my future plans as a mode of driving to the finish line. I plan to turn the (2nd) 401K back to 20% (increasing each 6 months til I get to 35%), (1st) increase my donations and (1st) save for my year of emergency fund. Once the fund is in order, I have a couple of furniture orders I want to put into place. Now that I am in good health, my HSA will go back to a way of saving for my retirement.
I should be able to save my 12 months of savings pretty quickly with the way I was paying off the debt. This time I will be increasing the pot instead of depleting it π. I’ll increase my car savings and the same with my vacation goals. A place for every dollar. I hope to be done by December 7th or before.
My plan is start the goals above, December 31st to set me up for the new year. Between no longer have the car payment, the inflation increase and the fact that I haven’t had a lifestyle change, I should be fine. I need to jump back on retirement wagon ASAP ππ.
What are your goals? Do blogs motivate you? I hope you’re doing okay out there in blog world.
Til next time π₯°….
Paying off a car loan for the new year. Blogs do motivate me.

“I know that it did for me, unfortunately a person whoβs blog I was reading appears to have dropped off.” πππ Dear lord, I hope this wasn’t me. If so, I am incredibly sorry. I had no idea of my break really having an impact on anyone. I was sick and a bit lost but…I’m back and will try to be a better blogger friend. You didn’t nee me anyway…I am not entirely caught up but as we are in mid-December, I am confident you crushed this debt.
